Moggre Leads 2019 Hagyard Challenge Series


The Leading Rider title for the 2019 Hagyard Challenge Series is still up for grabs, but young rider Brian Moggre still retains a solid lead after winning the $36,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic CSI3* during the Kentucky Spring Horse Show, the first event in the series. Moggre has also earned solid placings in the fol- lowing two grand prix events for a total of 330 points. Karl Cook and Salvador Ornate are each tied with a win a piece in the Kentucky Spring Classic and the Ken- tucky Summer Horse Show, respectively, with 250 points each.


The Hagyard Challenge Series con-


sists of seven grand prix classes to be held during the 2019 show series at the Ken- tucky Horse Park. The series concludes with the $65,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic held during the Kentucky National Horse Show. Following that exciting com- petition, the winner of the $50,000 Lead- ing Rider Bonus will be announced and presented with a cash prize by the Hagyard Equine Medical Institute.


Hagyard Equine Medical Institute is


one of the oldest and largest equine vet- erinary practices in the world. Founded in 1876, the institute offers a staff with qualifications unparalleled by any single non-university veterinary group in the equine industry. Hagyard veterinarians have dedicated themselves to the health and well being of the horse. Once again, the Hagyard Equine Medical Institute will


be sponsoring the seven part Hagyard Challenge series, which concludes with the presentation of the Hagyard Leading Rider Bonus.

ical Institute offers 13 Digital Radiology systems, 1.5 Tesla Siemens MRI, Nucle- ar Scintigraphy, an on-site laboratory, an on-site pharmacy, full surgical services, 24-hour emergency services and Hyper- baric Medicine. The institute has practiced veterinary medicine since 1876 and is cur- rently composed of over 50 experienced veterinarians, with 13 board certifications in specialty areas of Medicine, Surgery, Critical Care, and Theriogenology.
