Inside ICI Atlas of Wax Defects – New Edition Released quality
Q
uality castings start with quality patterns. creating
Consistency in patterns
can
be challenging so in order to help this process, the ICI Publications Committee has updated the Atlas of Wax Pattern Defects with new features. Like the Casting Atlas, this release can be viewed in the wax department/workstation on a computer, tablet, or phone.
The
Wax Atlas now includes a section on “Best Practices” which provides basic fundamental controls which can help avoid patterns defects from appearing. The Atlas includes pictures of the pattern defects and, for the LAN version, allows a foundry to add their own pictures to increase the effectiveness for exclusive use of part geometry. The online version is FREE to ICI Members and the intranet use is available for purchase.
