FIRST EAST LONDON SITE IN CANARY WHARF The independent collection of bars within London villages will open a new location this November in the bustling district of Canary Wharf

Artisans of drink, food and design, the collection of independent bars by Darwin & Wallace will open an eighth site and its first in the east, in London’s major lifestyle destination, the bustling Canary Wharf. Continuing the tradition of creating a home from home, the new bar will offer a soothing sanctuary from the fast pace of Canary Wharf.

Set on the side of the dock by Mackenzie Walk, the site will feature a generous bar, dining spaces, lounge seating and a south-facing terrace to seat 170 people. A beautiful aspirational space using raw, natural materials in soft, natural tones with a modern sharp edge befitting of the city.

Since opening No 11 Pimlico Road in 2013, Darwin & Wallace has opened a further six bars in the heart of quintessential London villages across south and west London. All intricately designed, unique to their locations to reflect the surrounding cityscape, and hosting an impressive drink and food offering with the customer and environment fully in mind.

Offering a home from home, with a stand-out feature bar, a soft-furnished lounge perfect for relaxed drinking, elegant private dining spaces and a south-facing waterside terrace with seating for up to 170 guests. The new Darwin & Wallace bar will act as a calming retreat in the city’s bustling Canary Wharf district, an area which accommodates over 120,000 London professionals.

A bar first and foremost, Darwin & Wallace’ new site will serve over 40 hand-picked wines, along with a selection of craft, draught and bottled beers, refreshing house-made soft drinks and a collection of seasonal long and short serve cocktails, to suit every time from morning coffee to evening nightcap. The bar will also feature a scratch cooked, locally sourced and sustainably minded all-day food menu, curated by Executive Chef Simon Duff with thoughtful and well-utilised mise-en- place, mindful selection of produce and plating and portion control all being used to minimise wastage.
