Courtyard is an independent womenswear designer store in Angel Gate, Guildford owned by Julia Jaconelli and has been established for twenty five years.


In 2017 the store won the Drapers Record award for the best designer store in the U.K. and they have become a firm favourite of fashionable ladies throughout Surrey and beyond.


Julia puts her success down to her approachable, knowledgeable staff, two of whom have been with her for over twenty years, an ever changing mix of stunning designer collections and a very relaxed and stylish environment in which to shop. She is the exclusive buyer and her biggest passion is to find new brands that no one else in the UK stocks and she has introduced many new collections into the country from Europe and beyond.


Never one to stand still she has now opened a new boutique a few steps away at 7/8 Angel Gate which is focussing entirely on ethical and sustainable fashion and accessories. This is becoming her passion and she is determined to try to influence others into moving away from fast fashion and becoming aware of the damaging effect it has on the planet.
