National Refi ll Day June 19 2019

In the UK it’s estimated that 7.7 billion plastic water bottles are used each year, with the average person in the UK now using 150 plastic water bottles annually. Many are discarded and end up polluting our rivers and seas. If just 1 in 10 of us refi lled just once a week, we’d save around 340 million plastic bottles a year. T at’s why National Refi ll Day is so important. T e aim of the day is to encourage people to carry a reusable water bottle and refi ll on the go. All you have to do to take part is pledge to switch from a single-use plastic bottle to a reusable one. You'll be able to fi ll up for free in over 20,000 friendly Refi ll Stations – using the location-based Refi ll app or by looking for the sticker in shop, café and businesses windows.
