ORHA at Can-Am 2019 It’s been a very long winter but spring is final here! As tradition dic-
tates, the ORHA participated in the Can-Am All Breeds Equine Expo in Markham Ontario on April 5th to 8th 2019. It was great to see everyone who stopped by the ORHA booth. We were able to catch up with old friends and members, as well as meet a lot of new people and share our passion for reining with them. That is really what this event all about for the ORHA – meeting new people, showcasing reining to the public; and educating them on the horses and maneuvers and rules. The new ORHA Ride and Slide Show Series was one of the most pop-
ular topics in the Booth this year. The casual format sparked the interest a num- ber of riders from other discipline interested in trying out a pattern. We look forward to the first Ride and Slide Show on April 27 as well as the Spring Thaw Show on May 10-12 both at Fletchers Horse World in Waterford Ontario. We had a slew of great prizes for the ORHA Raffle with the Grand
Prize of a 50” LED TV being award to Laryssa Brown. Other prizes included a 2019 ORHA Membership, a Reining Lesson with Loris Epis, OBBO hoodie, and a ORHA t-shirt and hat. Thank you to all those who donated to the raffle, we couldn’t do it with- out you! Congratula- tions to all the Raffle prize winners!!
