Wrestling Horse of the Year titles. Owners Tyler Pearson, Atoka, OK, and Kyle Irwin, Robertsdale, AL, use the most recent $5,000 Horse of the Year check to help others. They donated it to Watering Seeds Organization and chal- lenged their sponsors as well, raising $19,500 for the organization that creates rehabilitation and wellness opportunities for individuals with dis- abilities. With the money, those with disabilities will be given scooters for mobilities.

ruary 16 event in Crowley resulted in HPs Steve Theriot (Open/Little Annies Smart), Tanner Tra- han (NP/Sally), Darrell Butler (Jr-Horse/Leroy), Isabelle Gonzalez (Am/Shortys Whiz), Hilary Stephenson (Nov/Bandito), Cathryn Dionne (14- 18/Anakin Sky Jumper), and Roman Moran (13&u/Ducky).
West Texas A&M’s Lady Buffs Eques-
trian’s Western Team completed their regular season February 22-23 at home, followed by the IHSA Zone 7 Region 2 Regional Championship on Sunday where they won for the 13th consecu- tive year. Kendall Woellmer gave championship performances in Open Reining and Open Horse- manship Sunday to be named HP Regional Cham- pion. The next weekend at Texas Tech the Lady Buff Equestrian Hunt Seat team was named 2019 Regional Champions. Klarissa Barley was named Regional Champion in both Open Fences and Open Flat. Kristi Hodges was Novice Fences Re- gional Champion, Mollie Green Flat Regional Champion, Elora Ellison (WTC Flat Reserve Re- gional Champion, and Catie McCharen WT Flat Regional Champion.
The Warm-Up 1 Series (NRHA), held in
Waco, February 22-24, resulted in overall winners Kaleigh Geringer (Rookie-Pro), Rachel Rawls (Green-Reiner-1&2), Paul Miller & Diana Doucette (tie-Nov-Horse-NP1), John Edd Tucker
Event Center. HP horses included Resurrect My Blue Boy (English), Snoozin (Western), Smith N Waden (Ranch-Horse), and What A Chocolatey (Open-All-Breed). HP humans were Karen Lewis (NP-35&o), Randi Yocum (NP), Lora Marshall (NP-Masters), Izzie George (11-18-WT), Lena Knight (Nov-NP), Claire Beesaw (14-18), April Goolsby (13&u), Reese Villanueva (Nov-Y), Emma Wendell (10&u-WT), and Jackie Ruther- ford (NP-WT).
Stock Horse of Texas hosted the Kick-Off
Classic March 1-3 at Brazos County Expo, Bryan, and 328 entries made it the largest SHOT show ever. Members received more than $58,000 in prizes at Saturday night’s 2018 awards banquet.

Louisiana QH Assoc held the first Miss
LQHA Pageant February 23 in Amite, with con- testants competing in horsemanship, a personal in- terview, a speech, and impromptu questions. Sabrina Turner, Gulfport, MS, won the crown. She and Suddensgotnosneakers are regulars at LQHA shows.
The 2nd annual Lone Star Shootout, held Feb-
ruary 23-24 in Stephenville, came through with many prizes and big payout checks. The Open drew 273 teams and was won by Clay Tryan and Jade Corkill. Ty Barger and Tyler Anderson won Elite #2, and James Whitlow and Levi Jones Elite #10. Junior Noguiera and Kaleb Driggers won buckles for fastest time on 2 head and also won Round 1; Levi Simpson and Cole Davison won Round 2.
Ultimate Barrel Racing’s February 23-24
event at Bell County Expo paid out $26,084. Pat- ton Ann Lynch and JJJ Bonnie Rae’s 15.503 won the first day’s Open 1D, and Jill Patteson and Eyesa Redneck Bully’s 15.567 won the second day’s Open 1D.

group, coached by Stacey Cosby, was 9th out of 121 teams in San Antonio and won Houston March 4! Members were Brice Beene, Maryn Lara, Christopher Lewis, and Zane Moriarity. Lewis was 6th place high individual out of 506 and Moriarity was 11th.

travaganza and Elite Futurity, held March 7-10 at Extraco Event Center, Waco, paid out $277,119.54. 1D average winners included Brandi Good (Futurity/Famous Bullets/29.863), Troy Crumrine (Derby/SR Industry Titan/29.762), and Kassie Mowery (Open/Epic Guy/29.975).
The 5th annual Horse Sale at Rancho Rio,
held March 8 at Wickenburg, AZ, made at least 3 Texans happy! Top seller was Lets Roo It, bring- ing $85K, raised and owned by Melissa Miller, Belton, and trained and ridden by Brad Lund. Chex Out My Smokngun went for the 2nd high price, $60K, for seller Mozaun McKibben, Whitesboro. Third high seller Ida Little Ichi put $50K in the
