NEW The Undercroſt Cabaret Jurnet's Bar, King Street

The Undercroſt Cabaret is an exciting new opportunity for local performers to showcase or try out their acts in the this mediaeval undercroſt venue at Jurnet's Bar (Wensum Lodge, King Street) on the first Thursday of each month.

Anything goes really, such as (but not exclusively) stand-up, improv, poetry, music & singing (which has to be acoustic), drama etc etc. The sky’s the limit really… although you can’t see the sky as it’s an undercroſt, so even that shouldn’t limit you.

It’s a free evening all round… entry is free for the audience and therefore neither the organisers or performers will receive payment. However, there will be a bucket sent round for donations at the end of each show, the contents being divided equally between all those taking part.

FEBRUARY 25 - MARCH 02 Awesome Eighties Extravaganza Theatre Royal, Norwich

Big hair, shoulder pads, massive mobile phones and pop anthems that survive the test of time. All of these and more are being celebrated in new musical Club Tropicana this February. Set in an ultimate holiday paradise a blushing bride-to- be and her groom both turn up to the hotel at the same time without realising the other one is there. Will they meet, will the hotel inspectors close the resort down, and will there be plenty of Eighties hits in the show? Club Tropicana, which comes to Norwich Theatre Royal between February 25 and March 2 It is headed by Joe McElderry, Neil McDermott, Kate Robbins, Emily Tierney and former Sugababe star Amelle Berrabah making her musical theatre debut.

The soundtrack of songs includes Just Can’t Get Enough, Take On Me, The Look Of Love, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Relax, and Joe said audiences are in for a real treat. “It has a great story line. It’s a great fun, family-friendly show that you can come along to and sing-a-long to. It’s feel-good and I’ve realised that 80’s music is still massively relevant, and that I know most of the songs
