Yes, our Warwick St LIVE banner doesn’t just cover live music but, DJ events, Comedy Shows, Family Entertainers, Football & Rugby tournaments, Literature and Poetry evenings plus many other themed events. All these those elements will be introduced throughout this year.

You have a wonderful building and plot here; do you envisage any changes there? Yes, we have a four-stage renovation plan for the premises this year alone, we are starting with the front and side bar areas to make the bar area feel more like a bar and less like a restaurant.

The major works will be in the garden where we are building a brand-new live entertainment stage, and fully equipped outside bar, grill and games area.

We even have long term plans to cover and heat much of the outside area so it can be used year-round for events and functions.

If you thought what we achieved at the York last year was good wait to you see what we have instore for you this time.

Laura brings a lot of front of house experience, what areas will she concentrate on? Laura is one of the most talented GM’s around and it has been fantastic to bring her with me. She will concentrate on the bar side of things brining exciting new cocktail menus and a new original craſt beer and ale range. She will also manage the handpicked team that will focus primarily on a hosting rather than serving experience.

What about the food offering which WSS has always been strong on. We are lucky to have chef patron Daniel Smith at the helm of our food offering and his catering ethos will continue to drive everything that we make, even if the menu style will evolve to match our changing demographic.

From February 1st we will introduce a new section of social plates (Norfolk tapas) and grill-based specials as well as some amazingly craſted desserts. We have just appointed Lewis Peak (formally Last Wine Bar) as our new head chef and I can’t wait to taste his cooking as it has always been amazing.

What else should we look out from WSS? Look out for a full weekly schedule of events including one of the most original pub quizzes’ around (every Wednesday from 8pm). Each of those events will have brand new food and drink offer to compliment the experience.

I particularly am excited around our concept of Tasty Thursdays where you will be able to try brand new craſt beers, spirits, wines and the newest social plates from the kitchen.
