Dry January is over! Did you notice that many of those that honoured it – in what is a testing month of the year – also experienced a drying up of their sense of humour? I don't put that down to the lack of alcohol, I put that down to added pressure in what is already a miserable month! I don't need a drink to have a giggle, never have, trust me, but January appeared to be a harder month than normal for some that abstained. Moderation is the key, trust me! One client who honoured the 'dry spell' said to me during a water-filled meeting: "Come the first of February I'm hitting the cocktails Katie". My thoughts: "Your liver won’t know what's hit it; good luck with that"!
Like I say, moderation is the key, surely?
So to February, the month of romance, blah, blah,
blah...only kidding, I love me a bit of romance. I'm a perfume, bag, earrings kinda girl though rather than flowers, which are always inflated in price and under whelming on the 14th of the month. Any other day of the year I love receiving flowers, but not the 14th, as they always appear mass-produced.

There's some great foodie inspiration this month as we welcome Tattu, which will change the dining scene for the better across Birmingham, whilst in Warwickshire the Lovely Pubs Group, one of my favourite foodie groups, are set to open the doors of their hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon! It's great to see new openings of substance.
Whilst the High Street has taken some punishment over the last year or so, Worcester seems to be bucking the trend, which isn't surprising. Great boutiques, proactive shop owners, immersive experiences and first-class customer service are all part of their winning formula.
At the cinema this month there are plenty of great films, to include James Cameron's first offering since Avatar. Alita: Battle Angel promises to be a great watch and we chatted to star of this sci-fi adventure, Rosa Salazar! Read her thoughts on the film, James Cameron turning her into a veggie and much more in this issue.
