CllrArdley asked whether the Cardwell Pavilion could help out in thisma�er. KCC was cu�ing back and considering charging residents to deposit certain items at their tips, which would increase fly-tipping. HGVsA resident asked about Unsuitable for HGVs signs for Old Forge Lane. Cllr China said KCC had forwarded details of signs, which were £200 each. It was agreed to purchase these and Cllr China would progress this. Maintenance Leaves had been cleared fromPenfold Hill and Foley Hill. Cllr Gove� said the pavilion looked very good and thanked the football club for their work. Pavilion Cllr China said there had been a problemwith the toilet cistern and this was being repaired.A resident had confirmed that she would be hiring the pavilion for an art class each Friday. Payment had been received for this. Cllr Martin suggested the council considered the provision of a defibrillator at the pavilion. This would be placed on the next agenda. Three PIR lights had been installed on the front of the pavilion. Streetlighting Cllr China had instructed Streetlights to repair five lights. Tennis courts The chairman suggested changing the systemof hiring a key to allow residents to pay £5 and keep the key for a year. This was agreed and Cllr China said he would implement the system. New play area Draft plans for the new play area were circulated tomembers and amendments were agreed. Cllr China would seek quotations for the play area fenced and unfenced. CCTV This had been installed and a
fourth camera had been installed to ensure complete coverage of the car park. The signage was due to be installed and the CCTV systemregistered. HedgesA resident said hedges needed to be cut back on Forge Lane to Burgess Hall Drive as they were encroaching on the pavement. PotholesA resident said several potholes had appeared around the entrance to the church and the road surface on the incline fromthe church to the village hall was in very poor condition. Both weould be reported to Kent Highways. Sports fieldMBC had agreed tomatch fund £10,000 for the cost for replacement slide and swings. The plan was to have the new equipment laid on a soft play area, which would be fenced in. Cllr Gove� suggested having signs regarding dogmess in the field. The clerk said this would be covered by bylaws and this would be investigated.
