Santa is bringing lots of digital and social media goodies this year! Did you know...


l Let’s start with some live video news: – Twitter now lets you stream live video without Periscope. – Instagram now lets everyone stream live video. – Facebook is adding live 360 video. National Geographic did the first one.


l Super Mario Run is here! l Snapchat added group chatting. l Facebook is adding geofilters. l Wordpress now supports 360 video. l Make a super creative video with Snapchat Spectacles. l Shazam now integrates with Snapchat to help you find out what song is playing. l Facebook’s photo-sharing app Moments now works on the web. l The Facebook Events app is now available on Android. l Facebook is so desperate for you to share, it is going to practically create content for you. l You can now group video chat with up to six people on Facebook Messenger. l Facebook now supports live audio. l Instagram Stories added stickers and the ability to download your 24-hour story. l Kik and Messenger also added group video chatting. l Vine will live on as a camera app. l Facebook is testing colored backgrounds for status updates.


l Twitter is testing push notifications for breaking news (Did you know Twitter is in the News category in the app store and not the Social Networking category?)


l Twitter started showing search results by relevance, not chronological order. l Messaging app Viber added new features - including easy video chatting and bots.
