rifying to compete in a brand new discipline, but the people I have met through the ORHA have been nothing short of stellar. From helping me find my first reining horse, offering encouragement at each and every show, coaching by the pros, and people willing to help at each show without fail. Each of the shows I have attended this season

has been well run, well organized and the office staff were all helpful with the registration process. For a newcomer, class entries can be a strange process but it is terrific when someone can help you get your forms filled in correctly. I was really excited that ORHA included a Para

Reining class at every single show. Despite being the only Para Reiner showing, the class is taken seri- ously, awards given and scores announced. It makes me feel proud to be a Para Reiner, especially when people cheer, whistle and clap after a successful pat- tern (That never happened in dressage!). I want to say thank you to everyone who has

helped make this first season a success and one I will always remember.
