BIFA champion Louis Perrin wins international young forwarder award
Louis Perrin, a director of BIFA Member Hemisphere Freight Services, was announced as winner of the FIATA Young International Freight Forwarder of the Year competition in September. The chair of the Award Steering Committee,
Michael Yarwood said: “FIATA’s Young International Freight Forwarder of the Year Award is hugely valuable in the recognition, development and continued education of the younger members of the logistics community. TT Club, as a specialist liability insurer in the global logistics sector, is extremely proud to continue its sponsorship of FIATA’s award programme. “The four regional finalists who were invited to
attend the FIATA World Congress are remarkable individuals and have already by that point achieved so much. During the congress they were tasked with presenting to the award steering committee as a final part of the competition, and this year all four of the candidates were in contention for the overall accolade of Young International Freight Forwarder of the Year. “Louis was a very worthy winner of the award
this year; his dissertation was excellent, as was his presentation to the steering committee, which genuinely afforded the judges the opportunity to live through and experience the shipments Louis had undertaken. “Louis had clearly invested a great deal of time
in the competition through the writing of the dissertation and the preparations ahead of the FIATA World Congress in Delhi, and we hope that he feels he has been rewarded accordingly. “As the overall winner of the competition, in
addition to the trophy and certificate, Louis will also receive a one-year subscription to the
International Transport Journal publication, a one-week training experience at TT Club head office in London, as well as a further one-week training experience at one of the TT Club regional offices in either New Jersey or Hong Kong. “Many congratulations to Louis on this
achievement, we wish him the best of luck in his future career and look forward to welcoming him at TT Club offices in the near future.”
