Confidential Information All Regular members are encouraged to participate on a strictly confidential basis. We at the ICI sign confidentiality agreements upon hire, and strictly adhere to the regulations set forth, as we value your privacy. Participation in the surveys allows you the ability to compare your data to the industry and can give you an edge over the competition. Below is a brief explanation of each survey.
Monthly Benchmarking Report Our monthly benchmarking report reveals monthly sales, bookings, tooling sales, backlog and sales per employee. The report is now open to the global community and the ICI encourages both Members and Non-Members to participate. Additionally, this report is open to international participation, thus enhancing the report value. Member foundries have access to consolidated metrics for all regions. Non-Member foundries have access to consolidated data for their region of manufacture.
Sales and Profit Survey Provides comparative profit ratios, industry operating costs broken down into a number of useful metrics, including but not limited to sales per production worker, and sales per square foot of plant space, sales productivity and financial analyses. Participation is limited to North American Member foundries.

Industry Compensation Practices Survey Includes compensation ranges for upper management, technical staff, middle management, sales and hourly employees. Formulas are listed for fringe benefit programs to management and hourly employees. Also given is an analysis of weighted averages, rates to hourly employees and total dollars paid for fringe benefits. Participation is limited to North America Member foundries.
How’s Business Survey Provides information on casting sales, wage and salary changes, collections, capacity utilization, safety and health issues and forecasts. Participation is limited to North American Member foundries.
Health and Safety Survey This report provides participants with an industry consolidated perspective of workplace injuries by type and severity.
It will allow investment
casters to “benchmark” their company performance with other investment
casting foundries. Participation is limited to US Member foundries.
What do we ask in return you
may wonder? All we ask is that you participate. We offer all of the above for the price of participation only and only those members that participate receive the complete, consolidated survey results. We value your membership and believe in the significance of the data our surveys produce.
