SAKO is the world’s most
prestigious rifle and cartridge brand. SAKO history began when the company was founded in the early 1920s. SAKO has come a long way from its early hand manufacture to today’s computer aided R&D and CNC manufacturing. Nevertheless, SAKO have not forgotten the value of traditional gunsmith craftsmanship, which is why they still carry out certain critical steps themselves. This is exemplified by their visual inspection of each individual barrel, after which they manually test them for accuracy during a test shoot.
SACOTEC Components Oy, has its
roots back to 1920 in the operations of SAKO, starting to produce as a precision foundry in 1956 and introducing the lost wax method and a brand new plant in 1967. From the late 90´s and based on the leadership of Mr. Anti Zitting the company grows and incorporate technology advances in different fields, technology and equipment, managerial and commercial development becoming one of the European leaders within its operation segment. This long experience in investment steel casting, coupled with its modern production capacity, has helped Sacotec Components Oy to produce about 100 million castings. having lasted a full five decades. Close to 50 % of Sacotec annual production is exported.
Both plant companies are located
at the town of Riihimäki, distant 70 km away Helsinki. Transportation for delegates shall be provided by the organization.
