T
he Westcountry Equine Fair has a great focus for 2018: ‘The Best of the West’.
The West Country has some amazing equestrian stars and they will be celebrated at their local event.
Taking place at Westpoint, Exeter on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd December 2018 the event will feature three day eventer Tim Cheffings; dressage rider John Chubb; Cleveland Bay side saddle and carriage driving trials.
Tim Cheffings is an international three day event rider from Tiverton in Devon. He started riding as a young child and his love of cross country riding started at 10 years old when he started going hunting regularly. Tim took part in a variety of pony club and riding club activities where he found his passion for eventing. Tim started competing at affiliated eventing at 16 years old with his homebred mare De Beers Duchess who took him from grass roots levels up to 3*. Tim’s proudest moment so far
was qualifying and competing at Burghley in 2014 with a horse he had produced at home, Nero (Alinero Van Het Scharenburg). Come and watch Tim in the indoor arena and be inspired by his dedication to the sport.
The show is not complete without the amazing equestrian shopping village. Stay stylish with the latest fashions; keep up to date with new products and excellent advice from experts and plenty of the main brands, show offers, competitions and book signings. With over 200 companies, this is a great equestrian shopping experience for the horse and rider. Don’t forget you don’t need to carry those heavy shopping bags around with the shop and drop facility in the foyer - all donations to South West Equine Protection.
