tre.co.uk) is an independent learning space situated near Tate Modern, central London. Classes on offer include practical boutique workshops in: DIY, Home Maintenance, Decorating, Upholstery, Woodwork & Carpentry, Furniture Upcycling & Restoration and various traditional hand crafts.

Free lectures are offered daily at Gresham College (
www.gresham.ac.uk). Tis insti- tute was set up by Sir Tomas Gresham in 1579, and one of the first lecturers was none other than Sir Christopher Wren. Richard Makin established Blu Top Ice Cream in 2015 and wowed the London foodie scene with his delicious creations. He offers an ice-cream making course in Wandsworth. Te value for money is be- yond belief and you learn directly from the man himself.
Jumping for Joy
Technically a fitness class and not leading to a qualification, Jumping Julia (

jumping.co.uk) where you can earn a quali- fication as an instructor at the School of Trampolining, which is affiliated with British Gymnastics.
Kingston Adult Education
Funded by the Skills Funding Agency of the EU, this educational facility is packed with great courses and qualifications. Its Surbiton location is perfect for south Londoners. Courses include: health care qualifications, languages, photography, creative writing and more.
