SPECIFIER THE MAGAZINE FOR DCE DELEGATES

Dear Reader / Meet the EXPERTS delegate,

What a SCORCHING summer?! We hope you have enjoyed and managed to keep cool - even whilst watching the England football team in their unexpected and relatively successful World Cup campaign!

As you may know, we take a two month break from staging the Meet the EXPERTS Technical Forums whilst the summer holiday season is upon us. So, the fantastic weather has coincided with our event hiatus and been totally enjoyable!

However, we have used the downtime effectively and managed to get even more NEW and fresh seminar presenters involved in the various different event themes.

Not surprisingly, the Specifying FIRE & SECURITY Solutions theme is attracting great attention both from the new companies getting involved and from delegates interested in attending. We have added a couple of extra dates for 2018 and looking to go to twelve different locations in 2019.

Equally, we are now running more BUILDING CONTROL associated events.

For some time we have been working closely with individual authorities’ Building Control departments encouraging Agents Forum style events where Building Control look to maintain and develop their services.

This December will see DCE staging the 4th SUFFOLK BUILDING CONTROL SHOWCASE in Ipswich working with ALL the authorities in the county.

In January, we will be running a similar event in Newmarket, WEST SUFFOLK & CAMBRIDGESHIRE BUILDING CONTROL SHOWCASE.

I must admit that these events are quite rewarding, the longer seminar programme attracts some larger numbers of attendees who enjoy the different technical presentations.

At the same time, we will continue to reach out to as many different corners of the country as possible with the different DCE CPD events in their traditional form.

Many of you will know that I keep repeating the mantra that you can get information from the internet but you can’t get the same knowledge and expertise our presenters are delivering and my mission is to keep on keeping on spreading the technical gospel through CPD presentations!

We look forward to seeing you at your next Meet the EXPERTS event.

Best regards, Steve Hilton
