Today there are hundreds of NUDURA Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) buildings in the UK, several award winning, and they range from residential, commercial, multi-storey and hotels to educational, medical and care facilities. For 2018, NUDURA have launched a programme of educational events for specifiers in partnership with DCE. To date, presentations by key NUDURA personnel have scored over 90% in delegate evaluations which are based on quality of presentation, technical content and use of visual aids.
In parallel, NUDURA’s educational programme for RIBA architects is accredited to RIBA’s Core Curriculum. Following a series of events, delegate evaluations state that they would choose to specify NUDURA Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF). These appraisals record usefulness, quality of structure, comprehensiveness of information, quality of handouts and the ability to explain points raised. So far this year, NUDURA has scored top marks in all categories.

THE NUDURA SYSTEM
Walls make up the largest surface area of any building. NUDURA ICF is also an effective sound barrier, offering superior building comfort with a Sound Reduction Index of 51 and four-hour fire protection.
NUDURA wall system comprises two panels of Expanded Polystyrene which are connected together with our patented web system to create ICF forms which are stacked, steel reinforced and filled with concrete ready to receive the roof, electrical and plumbing fit outs.
This layering of monolithic concrete between two continuous layers of 67mm thick EPS foam offers unbeatable energy efficiency (saving over 70%) as it isolates the concrete and significantly reduces the flow of heat through the wall.
On site, NUDURA’s shell finish saves up to 60% on labour and 25% time as it completes six building steps with one product. Ideal for both complex and curved structures, the same system can be used for below and above grade walls. Developed to withstand the winters of North America, it can be constructed whatever the temperature and virtually eliminates construction waste.
