LIGHTWEIGHT ALUMINIUM ARCHITECTURE Saving weight without compromising durability, XE’s immensely strong Lightweight Aluminium Architecture helps achieve optimum weight distribution approaching 50:50. This lightweight structure not only reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, it means that the XE range is able to encompass everything from as low as 126g/km‡ to a maximum speed of up to 155mph.


TORQUE VECTORING

Jaguar XE’s All Wheel Drive (AWD) system offers a smoother, safer ride on all surfaces. At its heart is an extremely fast-reacting, compact transfer case with integrated Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD) software. Exclusively developed by Jaguar, the unique IDD software features sophisticated algorithms to react intelligently to road conditions. Predictive, as well as reactive, the system helps prevent you from losing traction instead of working to regain it.


Jaguar XE’s sophisticated front and rear suspension systems complete a chassis that achieves a superb combination of sportiness and refinement. Advanced damper technologies – both passive and adaptive – improve ride quality and extend XE’s breadth of dynamic capability. The suspension’s control, agility and feedback give XE the spirit of a sports car.

Dynamic Mode enlivens Jaguar XE’s sporting character. It sharpens throttle response, increases steering weighting and performs gearshifts more quickly and at higher engine speeds. ELECTRIC POWER ASSISTED STEERING


Giving you fine control at speed and comprehensive assistance during slow manoeuvring, XE’s Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) offers outstanding feedback and immediate power assistance. And it’s only active on demand – saving power for when you really need it, as well as saving fuel.
