TWO local charities have joined forces to take part in the Kent Su- perhero Run. Kenward Trust and YouCan
YouthCancer Support are hosting a 5km and an under 11s 1.5km fun run at the trust’s headquarters in Yalding on Sunday, July 8, starting at 10am. Entry is £8 for an adult and children under 11 go free if ac- companied. All money raised from the event

Church helping people put ‘joy back into cash’
FREE cash-savvy courses are being offered by a church in Maidstone in an effort to put the “joy back intomoney”. Credit coaches at St Luke’s will
be running the three-week ses- sions, helping families chart their household income and take control of their expenditure. Organisers say that the session
will be relaxed and informal with no pressure on participants. HeatherMay, one of those leading
the classes, said: “If you know how to save and budget effectively, it can have ahugelypositive impact onthe whole family.” The training course is thework of
the UK charity Christians Against Poverty (CAP) and has been de- vised to help communities best handle their money in a challeng- ing economic climate. St Luke’swill be one ofmore than
