The birth of O’Brien Fitness Private Training Studio When I started thinking about open- ing my own business, I didn’t want to create a small local store-front training space that served only the local popu- lation and was just a smaller version of what my employer already provided. I wanted a setting that would let me give clients my uninterrupted atten- tion, and I wanted to do this with peo- ple all around the world. In 2016, I took the leap. I left my


full-time job and opened my own per- sonal training business. Slowly but surely my local client base began to grow. Word of mouth was my big- gest marketing tool and still is today. I initially started offering training ser- vices to clients in their homes. Several

Going global The birth of social media, specifically Instagram, helped me attract my first global clients and to begin to build my online coaching business. My moti- vational and educational posts have allowed me to spread my passion to thousands of followers worldwide and to offer one-on-one coaching via Skype, phone and email. I have also been able to network and collaborate with many like-minded international businesses.
