FOR THE LOVE OF DOGS & CHOCOLATE. Swamp Head Brewery hosted this fundraising event in February to benefit Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs. There were tables filled with hefty raffle baskets and Astor Chocolate private labeled boxes of chocolate just for the event. Swamp Head Brewery, founded in 2008, is inherently Florida and is bordered by conservation land. Focused on sustainability, Swamp Head Brewery produces 18,000+ barrels of beer a year. A com- munity partner, also sup- porting Alachua County Humane Society, makes it Gainesville’s favorite brewery.

THE 14TH ANNUAL GET RESCUED in Gulfport took place on a sunny, breezy February Saturday. It draws people from all over Florida to this quaint beach town. Proceeds benefit all partici- pating rescue groups. Annually, a pet food drive brings in tons of dog and cat food, also distributed among the participating groups. Special thanks to BarkLife & More, Pet Food Warehouse and Pet Supplies Plus.
