HOW LUCKY CAN THESE DOGS GET? Over the last few months, we attended dog-friendly events across Florida,


taking thousands of photographs of dogs having fun. As you can imagine, there are a lot of awwws and plenty of laughs as we review the photos. It is a time-consuming and difficult process to select the few photographs that appear on the following pages of our Dog Socials pages. We wish that every dog we’ve ever met and photographed could appear on the pages of The New Barker.

The closest dog-friendly beach for New Port Richey dog lovers is Honeymoon Island in Dunedin. Working with the New Port Richey Parks & Recreation Department, the residents were able to create their own dog day on the beach. Bark On The Beach is held at Robert K. Rees Memorial Park (also known as Green Key Beach) every second Saturday, November through February. We attended the February 10th Bark On The Beach where we met a lot of dogs enjoying the surf and sand, despite the chilly weather.
