The designwill cost around £1,000, hosting approximately £160 per year and updateswill be charged at £50 per hour. Itwas hoped a draft skeleton would be in placewithin four to sixweeks. driveway in London Road,Ditton, had both rear lights stolen. AStihl chainsawwas stolenwhen a


storage unit in a garden inWindmill Lane, WestMalling,was broken into.

Green damage Some of the posts on the green opposite The George had been completely knocked over and a resident had asked if the parish councilwould consider pu�ing up a post and chain fence and/or increase the kerb height. KCC would look to concrete the posts in, but the parish councilwould need to fund the installation of a fence,whichwould need to be 450mmfromthe road somay not prevent anymounting of the kerb. Poster fly-tipping Cllr Dickson had tidied up themain village noticeboard and the members agreed to assist by looking out for and removing any posters and signs for events that have happened. Green LaneA resident raised a concern about the number of cars being parked in Green Lane by visitors andwondered if extra signs could be put in place to try and prevent this. However, as it is a private road,members could not comment on it and itwas something the residentswould have to agree amongst themselves. Village hallA parent at the school had requested that the village hall car park be resurfaced due to problems accessing it and the play area. The clerkwas asked to advise themto contact the Village Hall Commi�ee. Recreation ground Cllr Jones agreed to install the replacement horse springer in the play area that had been received. The clerk had ordered a replacement disclaimer sign for the play area and a new disclaimer sign for the netball stand. The annual contract for grass cu�ing had been started by Four Seasons. Allotments Cllr Joneswas in the process of collecting annual fees fromeach allotment holder. The chairman and clerkwere to liaisewith one of the holderswhowas concerned about the footpath leading to the allotments being damaged by users not authorised to take vehicles along it. The schoolwere progressingwith plans to use the field behind the allotments for educational purposes, and Cllr Goodworth


was to followupwith btf Partnerships amid concerns fromthe clerk about how long itwas taking to draft a lease agreement.


Wateringbury


Newmember Therewas one candidate for the parish council vacancy – David Michelmore. Following a secret ballot, counted by Cllr Jessel, itwas declared that hewas elected on to the council. Borough council report Cllr Jessel said Maidstone Borough Councilwas struggling tomeet statutory duties due to funding cuts fromcentral government and a future cut of 30%. The borough council had set a 3%increase in council tax, the maximumallowed before triggering a referendum. This represented £5.91 on band D properties. Some staff had been laid off and other cost-savingmeasures were being considered. Pollutionmonitoring The chairman said Chris Luche, of TMBC, had recently left and hewould contact the borough council to askwhen the equipmentwould be installed. Village signs Two quotes had been received for four village signs.After discussion itwas agreed to accept the quote forMaidstone Signs to replace the signs, including posts, at a cost of £3,420 plus VAT. Crossroad The chairman reported that successful discussions had been heldwith KCC on draft plans to ease congestion at the traffic lights. The schemewould be funded by accessingmonies froma government scheme designed to improve quality of life. AllotmentsAll invoices for the year had gone out. Therewere three vacant plots available. Dog foulingAmember of the public reported dogmess on the track leading fromFields Lane to the playing fields. The provision of dog poo bagswas suggested.
