T
he Association for Decentralised Energy (ADE) Awards showcases decentralised energy
achievements of the present and innovations of the future. Nominations are now open for the 2018 Awards. Nominate an individual, business or
project for the 2018 ADE Awards. Whether you work with CHP and
heat networks, energy efficiency, demand response or integrated energy, we want to hear your stories and recognise your successes. There are eight Award categories in
2018. All categories are open to all technologies covered by the ADE, including CHP, heat networks, energy efficiency, demand response, and integrated energy: The follwing are the AWARDS: - Industrial Award - Commercial Award - Cities and Communities Award - Domestic Award - Innovation Award - Research and Consultancy Award - Young Professional Award - ADE Champion Award
There is no cost to enter the Awards and you can submit as many entries as you choose. Projects can be located anywhere
in the world as long as the company entering the Awards is based in the UK. Further guidance and supporting documents are available on the ADE website. The closing date for entries is Friday 25th May 2018. To help shape your application, you are invited to an Awards Workshop on Wednesday 25 April 2018. The workshop will help you
understand what our judges are looking for in an entry and how you can best craft your story to make the biggest impact. Drinks and canapes will be provided. This year's Awards will be presented at the black tie Awards Dinner at the City of London's Guildhall on Wednesday 24th October 2018 - this is the perfect venue for the ADE’s most popular and glamorous event. Dr Ogunshakin leaves ACE for FIDIC role
Dr Nelson Ogunshakin OBE has agreed to continue to support ACE as the Vice Chair of its Advisory Board,providing advice on its strategic activities.
Dr Nelson Ogunshakin OBE is stepping down as chief executive and president of the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) after 14 years in the role. He is leaving to take up the role of chief executive officer at the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC), replacing current managing director, Enrico Vink who will be retiring. ACE’s Board has already begun the
process to find a replacement and will provide an update in due course. In the meantime, ACE and FIDIC have agreed to a smooth transition with the exact timings of Nelson’s departure to be confirmed once a replacement is lined up. Nelson will then move to join ACE's Advisory Board as its vice chair.
