CHP energy centre ordered for new Aberdeen development

The two 1MWe natural gas fuelled reciprocating engines will be containerised within attenuated acoustic enclosures at Edina’s manufacturing facility in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, to provide electricity and heating to the site via combined heat and power application. Aberdeen City Council appointed UK property developer Henry Boot Developments Limited as the preferred Development Partner, which appointed Robertson Group as its main contractor to deliver the project. The AECC development will include exhibition space, conference facilities and three hotels – increasing maximum capacity to 12,500 from 8,500.
