Spring is
nature’sway of saying,

I love the spring and it has to bemy favourite season. It is a timewhen nature resumes its loveliness and everything seems to come alive. The nights are lighter and there is the promise ofwarmer days. Cheltenhamhas a special charm with all its beautiful parks and lovingly cared for gardens. Spring is certainly the feel good
season and here are a few reasonswhy…
•Withmore daylight hours and brighterwarmerweather, scientific evidence indicates thatmore exposure to sunlight increases the hormone serotonin in your brain, which canmakes you feel happier.
• Exposure to the sunlight also decreases the chemicalmelatonin in your body during the day and increases it at night,which helps you to sleep better.
• It’s amazingwhat a little extra sunlight andwarmsoil can do for the plants and grass. Plants convert
sunlight into energy and produce the pigment chlorophyll,which turns themgreen. Studies have found that if you sawthis colour before a challenge came up you are likely to bemore creative! So green is indeed a very positive colour.
• Colourful flowers bloomin the springwhich signals to the bees that they are ready for pollination. Scientific evidence suggests that looking at yellowflowers canmake you feel happier!
• You can switch off your central heatingwhichwill stop you dehydrating, open thewindows and refresh yourself and your home.
• Sunlight triggers your body to produce vitaminD3,which keeps your bones strong and supports your overallwellbeing.
• Everyone seems to be happier and smilemore in the spring so theworld feels like amore cheerful place to be.
• Summer holidays, picnics, barbeques in the garden and lovely lighter longer evenings are on the horizon!Howgood is that?
