Tributes The chairman had a�ended the funeral of former councillorMichael Cayzer,who served the council for 25 years. The family had requested donations to go to the RAFAssociation or Diabetes UK, and itwas agreed to give £50 to each in hismemory. Warmemorial The chairman reported that thewarmemorial had been awarded Grade II listing byHistoric England. County report Cllr Balfour said consultationswere still progressing on improvements to the crossroads,with


investigations into utilities to consider. Fundswere in place for any alterations. Cllr Balfour added that although the borough and county councils had to measure pollution, therewas no legislation thatmeant they had to dealwith it. Borough report Cllr Jessel said the TMBC budgetwas soon to be revealed. There were plans that the three area planning commi�ees could share officers to save costs, and that amagistrates court could use the council offices. Cllr Jessel also said hewould be standing down as a borough councillor in the 2019 elections. Parish Charter The final draft of the parish charter had been agreed andwas to be put forward to the Parish Partnership Panel. Car park The chairman hadwri�en to TMBC askingwhat input the parish council would have in any discussions on the future of the car park, but there had been no reply. Fieldworks Four ro�en posts in the playing fields had been replaced. Later in themeeting, amember of the public referred to the gate and posts on the track leading down to the fieldwhich had caused problems. The chairman confirmed that the owner of themiddle field had been contacted and they had agreed that that the fencing, gate and postswere on council land. Part of the fencing had beenmoved but the gate and posts remained. Itwas agreed towrite to the land owner giving a time limit to remove them. Village signsA quote for four newvillage signs had been received, but after discussion itwas agreed to get further quotes. Traffic lights The Speedwatch reportwas circulated, and councillors raised the issue of vehicles constantly jumping the traffic lights at the crossroads. Itwas suggested that a camera could possibly be installed to help prevent this.
