Royal British Legion Silent Soldier initiative and will be placing its life-size ‘Tommy’ next to the war memorial, by the village church. The initiative will see Silent Sol-
diers – representing thosewho lost their lives or returned scarred from the fighting – placed at strategic lo- cations up and down the country.

new bench and paid tribute to the late stalwart. “Anne was a tireless servant of
the people of Snodland for many yearswho cared passionately about her local area,” she said. “I think I speak for everyone when I say we miss her wisdom and dedication and I look forward to continuing to work with the Snodland Partner- ship to help build on their good work across the community.” The Snodland Partnership was
set up by Snodland council, Tarmac and Tonbridge &Malling Borough Council, and supports projects to help the town’s 12,000 residents.

tor of nearly everything that hap- pened in Snodland, both at town and borough level.”
Fun and games
AN Easter Egg Hunt organised by the 1st Snodland Scout Group is being held in Snodland on Satur- day,March 31. Aswell as the hunt, therewill be
games, a raffle, cakes, face-painting and a ‘name the bunny’ contest. The event, entrance £2 per child,
is from 11am until 2pm at The CricketMeadowin the town.
