What is a dental implant? A dental implant is a very small but strong post, made of a biocompatible metal (titanium) or ceramics, and is inserted into the jawbone as an artificial root which on healing merges with the body to support the crown.


Why dental implants? Implants are a safe, well-established treatment and if they are cared for well, they can look and last a very long time, like natural teeth.
