GREAT WEAVER WORDS WRITING PRIZE 2018 Sponsored by Frodsham Town Council
North Cheshire school children are invited to weave their own magical words and win fabulous prizes in a fantastic writing competition. This year we are looking for the best young poets. Please write a poem in any style, up to 40 lines, inspired by the festival theme ‘A Sense of Place’.
The competition will be judged by festival patron and award-winning writer Tim Firth.
Prizes for the best original poems will be awarded in three age categories:
Juniors: Years 3 & 4; Years 5 & 6 Seniors: Years 7, 8 & 9
Children can enter either through their school (in Helsby, Frodsham, Kingsley, Alvanley, Manley, Norley and Aston)
or send their poem (with name, age, address and contact details) to Frodsham Community Centre, Fluin Lane, Frodsham, WA6 7QN (marked Weaver Words writing prize) or email:

Only one entry per person please.
Prizes: £50 book token for winning child in each category, plus runners-up prizes of book tokens.
Shortlisted writers and their families will be invited to an awards ceremony on Sunday 29th April, 6pm, at Frodsham Community Centre.
