Filet Mignon, New York Strip and a 28oz. Bone in Rib Eye. My choice was the Filet and Grilled Lobster Tail, served on a tree plank with their signature Pinquito Beans…the presentation along with the flavors, was outstanding. My guest doesn’t eat red meat and their selection for him was plentiful. He was very satisfied with their Grilled Salmon, served with a side of fresh brocollini. All in all it was an amazing meal and a delightful experience, especially when finished with their delish dessert selections: Omar’s OG Pudding, Seasonal Fruit Crumble, Scorched S’mores Brownie, Vanilla Ice Cream with Olive Oil and Black Lava SeaSalt and Pumpkin Spice Bread Pudding. The Rage Monthly caught up with the owner

of SeaSalt and SeaLegs, Alicia Whitney, whose awards are numerous: 2017 Golden Foodie Award Restaurateur of the Year, 2017 Small Business of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year/Huntington Beach’s Chamber of Com- merce, 2012-2016, Sea Legs Best California Cuisine, Golden Foodies Award, 2012-2016, Best Wine Bar, O.C. Weekly, 2016, Best New Restaurant and Alicia Whitney, 2017 People to Watch - O.C. Register. When asked what her inspiration was for opening SeaLegs Wine Bar was originally, Alicia reflected and said, “I’ve always been interested in the business in some way. After spending a few years in Las Vegas developing restaurant concepts and creating nightlife experiences, I decided that’s what I wanted to do with my life.” As to why she felt it’s so important to be inclusive to the LGBT community into their restaurants, she replied, “At all of our restaurants, we support the com- munity however we can. For me personally, it’s important to me to be all-inclusive, in everything we do. SeaLegs Wine Bar is definitely popular with the LGBT community and we welcome everyone! Also, we encourage anyone who may want to host an event to reach out to us.” As far as what her future vision and goals are as

a restauranteur, she got mysterious as she talked about one of their seasonal restaurants, also in the area. “You’ll have to wait and see…but we have big things planned for Huntington Beach! As we enter round three of SeaLegs at the Beach, which reopens for the season on March 17, 2018, we’re going to make it bigger and better than ever, with live music, unbelievable food and incredible events.”
