Welcome to the January issue Happy New Year!

I hope you have had a lovely Christmas break.

If you are now ready for the opportunities and challenges a new year brings, you might be thinking of joining a new organisation, either as a member or a volunteer. Along with our regular listings on page 26, you might be interested to read more about: bhliveactive (pg5), Partners & Communities Together (pg8), various children’s groups (pg13), pilates (pg27), Dorset Wildlife Trust (pg34), and Lytchett United Royal British Legion (pg39).

Some of our regular columnists and advertisers have some great news and plans to share in this issue. Congratulations to Forum Jewellers, who won the ‘Retail and Leisure Experience’ Award at the Dorset Business Awards before Christmas (pg16) – very well deserved! Chestnut Nursery (pg24) has exciting plans in motion to build a new shop on their site, where they have been located since 1887, and the ambitious ‘Carehome Bed Finder’ – enabling relatives to search an online database for a place for their elderly loved one – is being launched in Dorset before being rolled out across the country over the course of the year (pg25).

If you would like to advertise in any of our magazines this year, please do get in touch.

Until next time, Karen Next Copy Deadline: 10th January for the February issue
