Our very own couple, Mrs and Mr Jones, hosts our travel section. They thoroughly investigate destinations ideal for a little trip away revealing vital tips on a glamorous getaway and also provide the inside track to ensure the destination caters for a range of tastes and wallets. From the slickest city hangouts to peaceful boltholes, you won’t waste a moment planning your travels.


This month they visit New York


Mrs & Mr Jones decided to add some festive sparkle by visiting New York during winter. They were first-time visitors to the Big Apple and had a long list of sights they wanted to see. But, in between times, they made sure to sit and soak up the arts and café culture of this fast-paced, 24-hour city.


Getting There American Airlines, British Airways, United Airlines and Virgin all fly direct from London to New York, taking approximately 8 hours. On arrival, grab a yellow cab from outside the terminal building to take you to Manhattan Island. Once there, you can get around by subway, bus or taxi. But the best way to get to know the city is on foot.


New York Mrs & Mr Jones based themselves near Times Square in Mid Town, close to a lot of the tourist hot spots. This is where you’ll find Broadway, Madison Square
