The Malt House Emporium AN INFUSION OF ANTIQUE & CONTEMPORARY
In 2014 the Malt House Emporium Ltd was created. Opening in an unused old Maltings, the inspiration for the name, the Director Helen Tweddle wanted to bring a fresh and modern approach to the Antiques business.
Throw out the idea of a store of Antiques being dusty & gloomy - the Malt House Emporium decided to launch something new, and its been incredibly popular. Growing at a rate that could be barely be kept up with by the handpicked staff, the Malt House Emporium ethos 'infusion of Antique & Contemporary' was immediately embraced by the public.
"Why have a cookie cutter home when it should be as individual as the owner? Why not mix that beautiful Georgian dining table with Contemporary chairs in bright colours? We have been inundated for years with flat pack disposable furniture, but Antiques were made so well they have stood the test of time and look wonderful when styled with contemporary accents."
This is exactly what you will find when you enter the new store, where the Malt House Emporium relocated to in November this
year. It’s a modern building filled with wonderful, vibrant and classical pieces. There are traditional and modern collectables, vintage clothing, home decor accessories and homewares.
Being just a few hundred yards from the M5, it makes it very easy to access for visitors. The new store has also incorporated a lovely Tea Room and Foodhall, making it an ideal destination to spend time looking for that ideal piece, or just browse away a few hours.
