Evaporation plant upgrade for Iggesund Paperboard in Sweden

evaporation plant from Andritz for its pulp mill in Iggesund, Sweden. Start-up of the new plant is scheduled for the second quarter of 2019 and of the rebuild for the fourth quarter of 2019. The new 7-effect high dry solids evaporation plant will have a capacity of 350 tons per hour of evaporated water. It will replace an Andritz evaporation line dating from the 1970s and is expected to significantly improve energy efficiency at the mill. The state-of-the-art technology of the evaporation plant will improve the cleanliness of the condensates produced, which are reused in other processes in the pulp mill. The rebuild of the existing

The rebuilt PM1 tissue machine at Correll Tissue in Durban, South Africa, was successfully started up in October. It is being used to produce high-quality tissue from waste paper supplied by the printing operations of Novus Holding, which owns Correll. The start-up followed an

mill, in 2006. The rebuild, which included engineering, erection, commissioning, training service and start-up assistance, increased the machine’s speed to 650 metres per minute. Conrad Rademeyer, group
