TO LIVE24-SEVEN WEDDINGS
No matter what time of year it is, it’s always the perfect time to get married. Summer, spring, autumn or winter, brides have so much choice nowadays that every season adds its own beauty to the day. In fact autumn/winter weddings are increasing in popularity.
Regular readers of Live 24-Seven titles will know that the film ‘27 Dresses’ could have been written about me! I’m always bridesmaid, but it’s a duty or rather a privilege I relish. There is nothing nicer than being part of a friend’s special day, the planning, decisions, excitement and then the day finally arrives and you feel part of a wonderful new chapter.
In this issue we have coverage from some of our readers real weddings for you to take inspiration from. See how their day played out and then think about how you have always imagined your own day to be, think about who you are now and then take deep breaths and enjoy - yes enjoy making decisions so that when you reflect back on the whole journey - and the planning stage is a big part of that journey, you have nothing but happy memories.
In this issue we bring you the latest dress designs right through to trending cakes, but the one thing I would always remind brides is that ‘being you never goes out of fashion’, so ensure that the day reflects you and your partner… the most important ingredients of the day.
Before I walk down the aisle ahead of the friends I’ve had the pleasure of being bridesmaid for, I always take time to pause just before we begin ‘that walk’ and remind them to relax and enjoy every minute of the day as the planning stage is long – but the day itself is short. Make memories at every stage and savour every minute from the ‘getting ready and girls breakfast’ to the walk down the aisle and especially those precious moments you and your partner steal together in between the day’s activities. Savour every moment so the memories aren’t just in an album, they’re something you can recall whenever you want. Don’t be a bride that says the day itself went by in such a blur…
Much love Katie & team xxx
