Ciren Belles In October, solicitor Alison Fielden gave us in-
sights of the highs and lows of her legal career.
With greatwit and charm, Alison talked us through all the changesshe has seen in her profession over the last30years, from the in- troduction of computerstomore structured recruitmentprocesses and ahugeincrease in regulation.
But it wasthe passionand dedication, both to her clients and to the principles of the law itself, which really shone through as she told stories of police stations, court rooms and piles of pa- perwork. Whether it waspromoting the office cleaner up through the ranksorprotecting acli- ent’sdog from having to have its hair collected as evidence (NB dogs cannot be arrested!), Ali- son’scommitmenttoseeing the bestinothers wastruly inspiring.
Next month, Thursday 16November, we’ll be welcoming localmusic therapist Maggie Grady sharing stories of the power ofmusic to bring healing and hope. Formore details, follow us on Facebook by searching for@CirenBelles.
