The Mcleods had been holidaying in the UK on aten week long-service leave (traditional in Australia). They were staying in the NewForest, coming to the end of their break, when Franc- es’sbrother called to ask them to come to the Parish Church celebration of the Bathurst Friendship with Cirencester.

Frances is amusic teacher and her husbandRobert is asheep farmer producing Dorper lamb and Merino wool, as well as growing Lucerne hayfor horse feed.

Although a littlebemused by their sudden celebrity status at the event, both Frances and Robert chatted

to us about their lives in the city of Bathurst,NSW,and recommended thatCirencesterScene makecontact with Bathurst Life free newspaper. We also had an in- viteto visitthemif we came over... I’ll start packing.
