SIBFORD SIXTH FORM
J
oining Sibford has been one of my best decisions. Despite only moving here in Year 12 I settled in straightaway and have been presented with countless opportunities. Sibford’s main focus is on the student and helping them to grow both academically and as a person.
The school understands that every person is unique and their learning should be too. The biggest change I have experienced is the increase in my confidence due to endless encouragement from all my teachers. This is something my previous schools overlooked and, consequently, when I arrived I was a very shy, reserved student. A common phrase to be heard in this final year has been “I can’t believe we only have one year left at Sibford! I don’t want to leave!” This is true for all of us. Next year I hope to be studying Business Management at University. Grace (Management Team Member)
I
have been a student at Sibford for seven years now and have enjoyed each and every year. As time has gone by I have been able to become more confident in my studies and in my social life.
I have always found academic work challenging but the Support For Learning department helped me overcome my problems. Without them I would not be where I am today.
The sport facilities at Sibford are amazing. The PE staff have played a big role in my time here at Sibford and have helped me my reach my full sporting potential.
Sibford has made me into someone I aspired to be when I was growing up. Ajay (Fry House Captain)
I
have been at Sibford School since Year 7 and it is undoubtedly the place which has made me who I am today. The small, close-knit community has turned me from the shy, reserved and nervous individual who joined to someone far more confident today. After looking at a couple of Sixth Forms, I decided on staying at Sibford for the final two years of my school life. I have never regretted this decision as the small classes and individual attention I have received have allowed me to perform to the best of my ability. The small classes have enabled the teachers to consistently tailor their lessons and their teaching to a way in which we learn best.
The environment and opportunities outside the classroom have also allowed me to forge friendships I will treasure for a long time. Now going into my final year, I look forward to furthering my studies here in my favourite subjects and I hope to go on to study languages and politics at University next year.
