SIBFORD SIXTH FORM

Introducing the 2017/18 Sixth Form Leadership Team S

ibford School is a wonderful place. It has nurtured me from the age of 10 and has never once failed to give me the support which I have found essential. There was never any doubt in my mind that I would stay on at Sibford for Sixth Form.

Sibford got me through my GCSEs successfully and miraculously got me my GCSE Maths and English!

I knew that Sibford was the place that I wanted to study for my A Levels. Its kind and loving atmosphere has always helped me to the do the best that I can possibly do.I love it here.

Alex (Nansen House Captain) I

I have been at Sibford since I was six and the last 11 years have been so wonderful that I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else for Sixth Form.

The calm and nurturing environment that Sibford has to offer can’t be found anywhere else.

Equally, the level of teaching is outstanding. Each member of staff takes the time to get to know all their students personally and they tailor their way of teaching to the way the student learns. As well as this, everyone within the Sixth Form community is friends with one another, so it makes the Sixth Form Centre a pleasant place to be when you do not have a timetabled lesson.

Choosing what to do post GCSE can be a daunting time, but the current students and members of staff will always be there to help you find your way.

If I hadn’t stayed at Sibford Sixth Form I certainly wouldn’t be the person I am today. I cannot put into words how happy I am that I stayed. This is definitely one of the best decision I have made in my life so far.

ven though this is only my second year at Sibford I feel very much part of the school community.

It surprised me how quickly after joining I managed to make friends, find my way around and generally settle in. Since joining in Year 12 my confidence and independence have truly grown. The atmosphere of the school as a whole and the Sixth Form especially is great. The small classes allow you to have the individual help you need, with teachers showing true enthusiasm for the subject. The school also offers a variety of extra curricular activities such as charity work, Fair Trade and sport.

There is always the support you need from staff members, especially the Head of Sixth Form, and peers. I am really looking forward to spending my last year of school at Sibford, whilst hoping to go on to study Biological Sciences at University.
