Allen Lawson’s “An American Vision: from Wyoming to Maine.” The artist will share with us his techniques and inspiration for the exhibit celebrating his dual vision of contemporary America including the vastness of the American West and the rugged eastern beauty of the New England. Lawson’s work is held in prestigious institutions including Yale University Art Gallery, the Smithsonian Institution and The White House. Transport yourself to Venice at Carnival time, to learn the story of Ilaria, a newly widowed Venetian who quickly has to raise her game in business and in love. Multiple twists and turns along the way render this quite difficult. Will Ilaria make it in time? Inspired by The Artful Widow (La Vedova Scaltra) by Carlo Goldoni, Italy, 1748, the wit and charm of this play will linger with you for quite some time. The main actress and co-author of the play, Stefania Montesolaro, will be happy to have a chat with us after the show.
