Nutmeg “Nuggets” Energy Healing is Our Birthright I DONʼT LET FEAR KEEP YOU FROM BETTER HEALTH...
t is believed that the same energy fl ows through all things and that absolutely everything, seen and unseen, is interconnected by fi ne threads of energy, creating an intricately woven web. When any of these threads are weakened, imbalance occurs. This imbalance may present in the form of individual illness, commu- nity struggle, or global suffering. If these damaged threads can be identifi ed and repaired, healing can happen, be it subtle or obvi- ous and on the physical, emotional or spiritual planes. The practi- tioner's service is to help restore the web, energetically balancing the threads and the spaces between them.
My personal approach to energy healing is through the practice of shamanism, the oldest known spiritual path, dating back 60,000- 1000,000 years. This is an ancient, cross-cultural path whose pur- pose is to restore the balance and interconnectedness of all things, what shamans refer to as the "All that is". All things in the universe are equally important in the "All that is". A drop of water, a blade of grass, a single
cell...all the same. The known and the unknown, the seen and the unseen, the tangible and the
intangible...all are valued equally.
Shamanism is not a one-size-fi ts-all practice. It invites us to draw from everything meaningful we have ever thought, known, sensed, believed, or experienced. No path honors individuality more than shamanism. Shamanic practice is supported and enriched by each individual's perception of the universe and his/her connection to it. Traditional teachings should be learned and practiced respectfully, combined with non-traditional techniques utilizing the students' life experiences.
I like to think of my healing arts practice as an over-fl owing tool box, at times, playfully more like a toy box, fi lled with possibilities gathered by 30+ years in the spiritual and healing arts. My primary goal is to teach adults and children how to connect more deeply to the "All that is". This may take the form of individual or group experiences and involve direct hands-on energy work; remote en- ergy transmission; sound vibrations using drums, rattles or gongs; techniques employing color, gemstones and crystals; and through shamanic journeying, yoga, soul retrieval or extraction. At times, I fi nd that placing the client in a light hypnotic trance increases receptivity, allowing the release of limiting thoughts, thus increas- ing the effectiveness of other modalities. Sessions conclude with self-empowerment suggestions to continue healing on one's own. As a lifelong educator as well as a lifelong learner, I am delighted to guide adults and children on their unique and sacred journeys.
