Mecc Alte: Celebrating 70 Years of Manufacturing Excellence


Mecc Alte is a global operator and is the world’s largest independent producer of alternators 1-5,000kVA. This year marks significant success for the Mecc Alte Group worldwide. It can now celebrate seven decades of world-class alternator production. From its humble beginnings in the 1940s, the company has evolved and progressed into a renowned worldwide supplier of alternators, employing over 1,400 people throughout the world, reports IPA.


Mecc Alte’s expansion has


been largely global, with Italian roots the company has focused on expanding predominantly throughout Europe, progressing to open- ing factories and subsidiaries in Asia, Australia and the USA. This ensures that customers can be supported on a global level, regardless of where they are situated. The Mecc Alte Group will


mark its momentous 70th Anniversary in October, with a grand event to be held at and around The Mecc Alte Headquarters in Vicenza, Italy. The event itself is scheduled to span the day and is set to give the group’s customers a real insight into the workings and ideologies of Mecc Alte, through factory tours and talks. The rest of the event is set to offer the real glamour of reaching such a milestone age, with a grand gala dinner to be held at the infamous Villa Curti, Sovizzo. monumental year for the Mecc Alte Group but also for some of its worldwide subsidiaries. Mecc Alte UK


celebrates its 20th Anniversary this September. Celebrating with an event at its Oakham-based offices and factory, the event is set as a “taste of Italy” in homage to the main brand and stakeholders. As well as reaching this impressive anniversary, the UK division is also celebrating some extremely significant accomplishments which have led the company to expand on its existing factory.
