Patricia Cathcart died this spring, and with her passing WME lost a guiding force of reason, love and devotion. A woman of deep faith, she was more than just John’s wife; she was a partner in his work. She traveled the globe for World Missionary Evangelism and was “hands on” with those she served. And serve she did! She constantly displayed her faith through her kind words, generous actions and dynamic compassion. She was also a prayer warrior, a Bible scholar and a superb teacher.

Patricia was a person blessed with a wonderful sense of humor. She knew just when to say something that would bring a smile or a laugh. She also fully understood the value and power of kindness. Her touch was as gentle as her faith was firm. Those who knew her well also understood she was a wonderful and supportive wife and loving mother and grandmother. Yet that love went beyond just her family; it was given to all she met.

For more than seven decades she lived to serve her Savior. This meant giving from her heart, mind and soul. It also meant sharing the blessings that she had been given during her life’s walk with those we often call “the least of these.”

While our lives will not be the same without her bright smile and twinkling, expressive eyes, she would not want us to mourn her passing. Rather, Patricia would encourage us to share the Good News with the world and continue to live our faith each moment of our lives. Even now Patricia’s smile, grace and charm remain in our hearts and memories and inspire us to continue the work she so loved.
