Aldeburgh Music, now fused into Snape Maltings, presents the Aldeburgh Festival in June, attracting world-famous musicians and performers.

As part of the Aldeburgh Festival, through- out June, hundreds of townspeople and visi- tors enjoy free concerts from the Bandstand on the Beach, with different artists every day.

And at night during the Festival, the Pump House near Park Road provides alternative entertainment in a wonderfully-tiny theatre space on the edge of the marshes.

In August, attention switches to the Malt- ings for the Snape Proms - a free-and-easy eclectic programme designed to appeal to all musical tastes.

Nestling in the heart of the town is the his- toric Jubilee Hall, offering an array of musi- cal and dramatic performances throughout the year. It plays host during the summer months to the Aldeburgh Summer Theatre, who present plays to appeal to all.

THE ARTS

In September, the town hosts the HighT- ide Theatre festival, premiering brand-new productions before transferring to bigger theatres across the UK. As well as theatre, HighTide Festival also offers music, cabaret, comedy, readings of new plays, site-specific theatre, and talks with world-class artists.
