Have Your Home or Offi ce Green Cleaned
W
hether you clean your home yourself, or if you have a cleaning service, it's so im-
portant to be aware of the cleaners you or your cleaning company use. YES,
there is a HUGE difference between cleaning with green cleaning products vs. cleaning with conventional household cleaners.
Here are 5 benefi ts to having your home or offi ce green cleaned.
1. Improved indoor air quality. You spend about 90% of your time indoors either at home or at the offi ce. Your windows are mostly closed during the cold months and the super hot months. This means you breathe the same recycled air, over and over again. The American Lung Association states that, poor indoor air qual- ity can cause or contribute to the development of infections, and can also trigger asthma, and even lung cancer. Conventional cleaners can cause dizziness, headaches, dry eyes, nasal con- gestion, nausea and fatigue.
2. Less sick days. I know most of you can relate to the “back to school cooties” that the kids bring back home at the start of the school year. How about that coworker who keeps hacking all over the offi ce, or the dreaded cold and fl u season. Aside from proper hand washing you can totally keep germs at bay in your home or offi ce by simply disinfecting doorknobs, keyboards, and phones.
3. Cost effective. In addition to offering less toxin exposure, the cost of green cleaners has become so much more competitive, making it more affordable for consumers.
4. Green cleaning products really work. We have customers who suffer from cancer, severe allergies, and asthma to name a few. Our products are infused with different organic essential oils to give them not only an incredible smell and aromatherapy, but they also work. Our Antibacterial is infused with Tea Tree & Lemon essential oils to give germs a one, two punch. Our All Purpose is infused with spearmint essential oil and is a natural degreaser. Our glass cleaner is infused with peppermint essen- tial oil and is a natural bug deterrent.
5. Better for the environment. Let's face it, we can't get away from most environmental toxins; however, with taking small steps to choose natural cleaners over conventional you will help reduce pollution in our air and in our water ways.
It doesn't mean
you have to throw out your entire collection of conventional cleaning supplies under your sink. If you could replace one of your conventional cleaners to a natural cleaner, you've not only made a huge step in making your personal environment better, but everyone else's too.

Consider a Career in Massage Therapy
H
ave you considered a career in Massage Therapy? There has never been a better time to enter the fi eld. Here are fi ve great reasons to pursue massage therapy education:
1. The US Department of Labor is currently predicting a 22% growth in massage therapy employment opportunities between now and 2020. People need the stress management and well- ness prevention that massage therapy supports. People are more informed about the benefi ts of massage than ever before and they are seeking well educated, skillful therapists.
2. Doing the work of massage therapy brings benefi t not only to the receiver, but to the therapist as well. For both, the body's stress is reduced and the calming and connecting hormone, oxytocin, is increased. According to national surveys, massage therapists express a high level of job satisfaction.
3. Being a massage therapist brings with it great potential for socio-cultural well-being. Each session is an opportunity to invite that client into a state of relaxation and letting go, of centered calm and clients usually go back out into the world a bit kinder and gentler.
4. Attending massage therapy school is an opportunity to learn in community. Each individual student brings their own life experiences into the classroom and so enrich the curriculum. Professional development is a critical aspect of the educa- tion to be a therapist; learning about healthy communication, respectful boundaries, and empathy in the therapeutic rela- tionship. Many factors infl uence how we think about these life skills and so diversity in the classroom provides a dynamic learning environment.
5. Massage school stretches students at all levels of body, mind and heart. The physical discipline is much like a moving medita- tion that aligns, strengthens and lengthens the body. The mind is stretched to open to new ways of thinking about health and wellness. The heart is softened to accepting each person as a unique individual, needing our compassion and deserving loving kindness conveyed through skillful touch.
