PIKNA Shire Horses will be at Trethew Rally this year with a working demonstration of their beautiful big Shire Horses.


Based in Sticker, St Austell, they have been all over the country competing in ploughing matches, doing working demonstrations, carriage rides, weddings and the occasional ride to the pub so it’s a big welcome to have them back in the West Country at our show.


Pikna shire horses started when Alfie Trethewey brought his first horse Lovejoy about 25 years ago. The following year saw the arrival of Tinker
